Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Mark Twain

I am Andrew Liu, a Harvard math and computer science student and aspiring entrepreneur from Palo Alto.

To explore my business and technology interests, I source companies as Associate at Boston-based Romulus Capital and help foster Harvard’s startup community as board member of Hack Harvard and Harvard College Venture Partners. Beyond Harvard, I have built my experience in machine learning in the Netflix Prize, DNA sequencing at Halcyon Molecular, algorithmic trading at Jump Trading, and genomics at Stanford. In my pursuits, I want to share ideas and world visions with others, whether as a TEDx speaker or in conversations with peers and mentors on both coasts.

The purpose of my blog is to reflect on my experiences as a student, entrepreneur, and 19-year-old explorer wandering the world. Especially in this age of technology – with so many opportunities and information at my fingertips – I find it difficult to dig deeply into any one undertaking and retain my learning in the present. My goal here, then, is to solidify my learning and gain some direction through writing, as well as share my journey with you. I write more about this inspiration here.
